Holy Orders - The Vocational Journey

Many people feel that the priesthood is something that just happens to only a "special breed" of people. As a result, they might feel uncomfortable, or even egotistical, expressing personal interest in this vocation.

Our goal of "The Vocational Journey" to normalize and demystify the discernment process so that men can openly discuss their thoughts and considerations.

By speaking to a current priest, we have created a five phase process that is not only direct and clear, but also one that all Priests, without exception, have gone through prior to entering the seminary.

We encourage those who think they might be going through this process alone to participate in our monthly gatherings. These meetings are not to "tell you about the priesthood" or "recruit you." They are to help you discern, with an understanding that many will choose the married life.

Meetings

Meetings are held the first Friday of each month, 6:30 p.m.

Dinner is served and after the meeting, the group meets for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

The meeting is sponsored the by the Archdioses of Los Angeles, and meeting are being held at St. Monica Catholic Church, which is located at 725 California Avenue, Santa Monica, CA 90403 (Google Maps). The church phone number is (310) 566-1500.
