Religious Education First Communion

As Catholics, we believe the Eucharist, or Communion, is both a sacrifice and a meal, bearing the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins. As we receive Christ's Body and Blood, we also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God. The sacrament of the Eucharist is available each day during Mass.

Youth First Communion

First Communion Preparation is a two-year program beginning in grade 1. The classes meet on Wednesdays for the first year class and on Mondays for the second year class. All classes meet from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Admittance to the second year class is based on completion of the first year.

Announcements

Zimmer's Religious Store: Zimmer's will be on campus Monday, March 3 from 3:00-6:00pm in the Parish Center with many First Communion gift items for purchase.

First Communion Parent Meeting: The parent meeting is Tuesday, April 22 at 7:00pm in the church. All parents are encouraged to attend this meeting. This meeting is for parents only (no children).

The Sacrament of First Communion: First Communion will be held on Saturday, May 3 at 10:00am. Children are to arrive by 9:30am for a group photo. Light refreshments will be served immediately following mass in the parish center.

For those who are interested in becoming Catholic, First Communion is also part of the Catholic Rite of Christian Adult Initiation, which is also known as RCIA.

For those who are of adult age, First Communion is available for adults through our Eucharist program.
