Ministries

Committee For the Poor

"Faith is a verb".  This is the motto of the Committee for the Poor which serves as the main outreach ministry for the church. 

This Committee encourages our congregation to participate in the spirit of St. Martin of Tours himself by experiencing the grace of God through performing acts of humble charity both in our community and in the greater Los Angeles area.

The Committee provides food, clothing and other necessities for the poor and homeless through collection of items and monetary donations throughout the year. 

This Committee continues to move forward to aid our sister church The Resurrection in its never-ending efforts to daily administer to hundreds of God's less fortunate family.  The Committee also supports the Knights of Columbus in its program of "Baskets for the Vets" for those who reside at the VA complex right here in our nearby community.

Donations can be mailed directly to the church or dropped off after Mass.

 

St. Joseph's Table

Friday, March 19, 2010, the Committee for the Poor will host St. Joseph's Table for the benefit of local Veterans through our Knights of Columbus. SEE FLYER
