Leprechaun Ball
One of the biggest social events on the St. Martin of Tours calendar is the Leprechaun Ball, which began as the "Murray's Follies" in 1948. It was first held at the Del Mar Beach Club. Parishioners Joe E. Brown and Frank Fay were the instigators of this first "Follies." A short time later, it was named the "Leprechaun Ball," and this gala event continues to this day, helping to raise support for our community. And there's a raffle for cash prizes too!
Our next Leprechaun Ball will be held on March 6, 2009 at the magnificent Skirball Cultural Center & Museum. Stay tuned for more information.
