PARISH UPDATE

A LENTEN GIFT FOR YOU! In The Four Signs of a Dynamic Catholic, Matthew Kelly poses the question; What makes Catholics engaged? This is the question he asks and discusses in his new book, along with why finding out what is engaging and putting it into practice is essential to the future of the Church. In talking about improving spirituality, personal relationships and personal virtue, Kelly looks at how we relate to God, others and ourselves. In easy to read chapters Kelly talks about topics like incredible possibilities, health of our spirituality and changing the world which he feels could be done if we could change just 1% of Catholics and encourage them to become more engaged in the Catholic faith and all it stands for. A chapter talks about the challenges facing the Church today and how engaged Catholics could revitalize the Church and change the world.

"What the world is in particular need of today is the credible witness of people enlightened in mind and heart by the word of the Lord, and capable of opening the hearts and minds of many to the desire for God and for true life, life without end," Pope Benedict announcing a special "Year of Faith" to help Catholics appreciate the gift of faith, deepen their relationship with God and strengthen their commitment to sharing faith with others.

People have acknowledged that they always need to improve their relationship with God through Jesus Christ, and this is an opportunity for the entire people of God to put our thought into practice.

Join us daily or weekly at Mass and various opportunities to study, to pray, and to participate in the mission of Church to grow in faith so we can become the authentic witnesses of Christ.
